The Delta Cultural Center hosted it’s 2nd Annual Arts Camp from July 22 to August 2, 2019. Grades of participants ranged from 6th to 12th and fun was had by all. For the first week, student campers toured the DCC, practiced and participated in activities. In addition to class work, the students were involved in music and dance. Director Kyle Miller worked on video and editing with the kids. On Friday, they travelled to Little Rock where they visited the Mosaics Templar Museum and Old State House Museum.
During the second week, the camp visited Magnolia Cemetery and the site of Southland College. Two days of play practice followed. On Thursday night the camp hosted a presentation about Southland College. Music and dance were included.
On Friday, the camp ended with a trip to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis.
