Kyle Miller, the Director, then recognized the employees of the Delta Cultural Center.

The Lyon College choir of Batesville provided Holiday music for the guests. They did an amazing job.

Lee County Courthouse

The Lee County Court House is located in downtown Marianna. It is an attractive building built on a slight rise overlooking the square.

There are several Veteran’s Memorials around the grounds.

Here are several more pictures of the courthouse.

The city square in front of the court house is a neat place and the people of Marianna are very friendly.

Cypress Corner

There are two amazing barbecue restaurants around Marianna, Arkansas according to everybody. Each have their loyal patrons as I found out asking around town. I decided to try Cypress Corner our first.

Cypress Corner is located on Highway 1 In Lexa just south of the Marianna city limits. It has a comfortable and welcoming field.

I decided on a regular barbecue with slaw and fries. Loved it. The sauce really sets off the sandwich and I understand why so many people like this place.

Cypress Corner is not a fancy place and I like it that way. If you are in the Helena or Marianna area, stop by. There is a great staff and make you feel like a local whether you are one or not.
